SATURDAY SOIREE

Good morning everyone! I don't have a project to post today. I just wanted to update....only 100 more visitors to go until I post for blog candy. I can't believe how fast the last 400 have gone. I have some of the blog candy picked out and ready but I am thinking about adding more. So when I get to 975. I will post the prize and let everyone know what they need to do. Thank you so much for visiting me. I was very unsure about starting my own blog and now I can't believe I haven't always done it. Today is the post-graduation celebration for my best friend who received her degree yesterday. We are going to eat and be merry today and enjoy the company of family and friends. So enjoy your Saturday and thanks for checking in with me today.

FRIDAY FINALE

Good evening fellow stampers! happy Friday. Today's project is a card I created to give to a co-worker whose 20 year anniversary was today. She is also in my stamp club. I did a gate fold card. I used Pacific Point card stock for card base along with Baja Breeze card stock for the Scallop Oval. I used the Oval All set from the Mini Occasions catalog. I stamped the "thank you with the butterfly" in Pacific Point classic ink. There are little circles all around on the image. I covered those with small clear crystals. I used the Whimsy jumbo wheel to create the pattern on the front of the card. I round the corners and attached the Butterfly with dimensionals. I also used the curly label punch. With this punch I punched one in Pacific Point and one in Baja Breeze. I glued those together and then turn it and adhered the oval to it and then adhered all of this to the left side of the card. I used a flower punch and created 4 flowers using the Walk in the Park designer paper and used the crystals for the center of the flowers. I think this pretty much covers everything. You can always email with any questions. Thanks for looking.

Trying to find my Zindorf

The other project that I am posting is a card that I tried to duplicate from Michelle Zindorf's blog. This is the first project that I have managed to copy that looked pretty close to Michelle's. Because I finally realized that not all brayer's are created equal. I did this project with my very own Speedball Brayer. I did add a little bit to make it mine. I took the tree image from the Very Versatile and stamped it in Basic Black in the right lower corner of the white card stock and then again above the flowers on the left side. I like to think they look like little bushes. I don't have a corner punch so I took the 1 1/4" square punch and punched a black square and then cut it diagonally in half and then cut out a corner. It doesn't look as good as it would if I had the punch but it is not bad. For the directions to this card, visit Michelle's blog here. Thanks for looking.

All better Wednesday

Ok, got new batteries for the camera and was able to take pictures of my project from last night. This time I did some step by step because when read the directions and scored my card stock the first time...the measurements didn't measure up...sorry. So hopefully the step by step will help you make your project the without mishap. This first picture is to so you how to line your card stock up on the Scor-Pal. The card stock is 4 1/4 x 11 (I used Certainly Celery for the card base but So Saffron in the picture on the Scor-Pal). You are scoring at 4, 6 1/2, 9, & 10 1/2. But as you can see by the picture you don't line up your card stock to the very left but to the right. Once you have scored the card stock you are ready for the next step. DON'T fold your score lines yet. You will be adhering your designer papers first. I used the Delicate Dots from this year's sale-a-bration catalog. I used three different patterns for each section. The measurements first panel starting at the left is 1 1/4 x 4 then next section is blank the next section is 2 1/4 x 4 the next section is blank then final panel is 2 3/4 x 4. Now you can fold your score lines. Decorate as you wish. I used the Oval All and Very Versatile. I used the "Best Wishes" which I stamped with Bashful Blue classic ink onto So Saffron card stock. I used the new Scalloped Oval punch. I inked the edges of the ovals with Bashful blue. The next image is from the Very Versatile, that is stamped with Chocolate Chip on Certainly Celery with the edges inked. The final panel I stamp the coordinating sentiment from the Very Versatile in So Saffron ink onto white card stock so it is a little hard to see it in the picture. Then I folded all my sections and wrapped the belly band ( this 1/2" x 7") around it and clipped it with one the Library clips. I got the pattern for this card from the Scor-Pal website. www.scor-pal.com. Thanks for looking.

TUESDAY TRIP-UP

I have a card already to go, I am getting ready to take step by step pictures and then it I got the evil read light.....low battery...and then no battery. Do you think I have extra batteries....nope, not even any that were semi-used. So I thought I will find my sister's camera to take my pictures....yeah no she must have it with her. Hopefully when she gets home I can at least get some pictures posted. If not, I will do a double post tomorrow night. Thanks for stopping by.

Monday Mojo Madness

Today I am using this week MOJO Monday sketch. I used So Saffron cardstock for my base. I layered different patterns from the new Walk in the Park DSP. I used a square of the So Saffron for the most of the card. Then I used a strip of the Cameo Coral pattern. I used a piece of Baja Breeze card stock then layered a piece of the Walk in the Park DSP with the Baja Breeze pattern. Then I used a piece with all the colors in the pattern. The ribbon is from the Sale-a-bration Ribbon Bundle So Saffron. I used the Oval All stamp set which is also from the new Mini Occasions and stamped the one that says "fabulous Friend" onto Baja Breeze card stock that I punched out with the Scalloped Oval from the new Mini. I stamped the image in Pacific Point Classic Ink. Then I took my white gel pen and added some white to the flowers. I adhered it to the main card with dimensionals. I think it turned out great. Very spring like. Thanks for stopping by.

Sassy Saturday

Today was my 6 year old goddaughter's birthday party. We went to our local Sweet & Sassy and Riley and her friends were treated to a hairdo, makeup, and a catwalk. Then we sugared them up with cake and other goodies. Riley is my little stampin' protege. When they come over she wants to stamp something. So for her birthday, I got her one of the under $10 kits from the Spring/Summer 2009 catalog. Then I made for her a "stampin' purse". I used two pieces from a chip board album that I got at Michael's in the their $5 Fun aisle. You get 5 purse shaped chipboard that you are suppose to turn into an album. I used acetate to create a box and then used some scrap booking papers that I have had forever. I included some pop dots, a package of miscellaneous ribbon scraps, and got a travel spritzer and put some Stampin' Mist in it for her to have cleaner. She loved it. So I figured I would show you today and then I will work out the details and measurements. I did some planning last night but mostly I put it together this morning before the party and had planned to post when I got home but have you ever been to a party with eight 6-year olds? Wow, needed a nap! So thanks for looking and I will give the details for you posted in the next couple of days.
