More Oval pumpkins

You might see a lot of pumpkins for a while. This card uses 1 big pumpkin and 1 baby pumpkin.  I used Crushed Curry for the card base and then used a piece of Soft Suede that I used my Scallop Edge punch on one side to make it look a little bit like dirt or the ground.  I stamped "Give Thanks"  with Tango Tangerine using a stamp set that is an old hostess set from 2 Stampin' Up! catalogs ago.  This is a quick, simple card to make and I used the Tango Tangerine and brushed the sides of the card to give a little extra.  I hope you get inspired.  Thanks for stopping by.

Pumpkin Basket

Hey stampers!  Tonight's project is one that was inspired by Becky Roberts at www.inkingidaho.blogspot.com.  She made baskets similar except Stampin' UP! didn't have the very small oval punch last year so she couldn't make the baby pumpkins.  I used the Stampin' UP! wide oval punch and made 5 ovals and did the same with the small oval punch.  I started with one oval and added one oval at a time to each side.  The card stock is some textured orange stock that I picked up at Archiver's for free.  I used the new glitter brads from Stampin' UP!  and also used my Scallop Edge punch to decorate the handle.  To make the basket I started by scoring my piece of card stock every 2 inches and then trimmed the sides to make the desired size basket.  I added one oval and wrote my name on it.  I am working on an idea for these little baskets to make for Halloween using ghosts and bats.  For the the special kids in your life, these would be cute to give filled with candy and maybe other little goodies.  When I do the other baskets, I will give you all better measurements of the basket size.  Becky also has a free tutorial on her blog.  So thanks for stopping by and have a great night.

Changes

Hey stampers!  I have made some changes to blog and I wanted to take a minute to explain.  I am no longer going to be a Stampin' UP! demonstrator.  This has been a hard decision for me and I have been struggling since Stampin' UP! changed our independent agreement to include a clause about posting on blogs.  I am a firm believer that you should use whatever provides you with inspiration.  I love the Stampin' UP! product and a lot what I use will continue to be SU but sometimes you come across something that speaks to you and I want to be able to share everything with you!  So I will continue to post projects and share with you and I am hoping to have more tutorials for you and continue to share my love of paper crafting.  Thanks for stopping by.
