Happy Wednesday
Today's project is a quick easy make. The possibilities are endless for this project. The directions for this can be found here. The stamp set I used was in the mini occasion catalog from last year. It is called "Sassy Suzie". I made two of these one my husband's supervisor and one for mine. Gotta earn brownie points! (LOL!) I used Raspberry Tart DSP, Cameo Coral and Kiwi Kiss cardstock. I made both of these in about 15 minutes. These would make great teacher gifts or 'just because' gift. The saying is 'Your friendship is the most uplifting thing in my life without underwire'. I attached the post note pad with sticky strip tape. Thanks for looking. Have a great day.

Terriffic Tuesday
Today's card is called a hinged card. This is a card that was in our demonstrator magazine. It is really pretty easy. Card stock and ribbon are Stampin' UP! The images are from Close to my Heart. Card stock used was So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Very Vanilla, Cameo Coral. The ribbon is the SAB So Saffron from the ribbon bundle. This card is different because you don't actually open it like a traditional card. You create your 'hinge' using a brad so the card opens from the top to reveal your sentiment on the inside. Card stock sizes are as follows. For the base I used Very Vanilla and it was cut 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" This is the piece that you will be stamping your 'hidden greeting' on. You can stamp your greeting first but stamp it on the top half of the card stock and try to center it in the middle. I actually waited until I had adhered the bottom half of my hinge. To create the bottom half of the hinge, your Certainly Celery piece is measured at 4-1/4" x 3". On the top of this piece you will use the Scallop Edge punch, to create a scalloped edge (duh!). Once you have done the scallop edge, you can adhere your bottom hinge to the base. Apply adhesive to the certainly celery card stock, leave about 1/2" clean. You will need this so you can tuck the So Saffron behind it to create the full hinge. The So Saffron piece measures 4-1/2" x 3". The first thing we are going to do is add the ribbon. I used the So Saffron ribbon from the SAB ribbon bundle. Wrap the ribbon completely around the the piece of card stock. Tying a bow as far to the left as you can. Stamp you image on a 2-1/2" x 2-2/16" piece of very vanilla card stock. I framed this piece with cameo coral measuring 2-10/16" x 2-1/4. Adhere the very vanilla to the cameo coral. Adhere this to the ribbon over to the right of the bow. Once you have this ready, tuck the So Saffron under the Certainly Celery. Line everything up, use your paper piercing tool to create a hole for your brad. Insert the brad and lay the arms flat, put pressure on the top left corner of the So Saffron and that will make your top piece go up, so that you can see the 'hidden message'. Hope you liked it. If you tried it, leave a comment or a link and I will check out your art.

STAMP CLUB CREATION
The card I am posting today is the card the we made at our club meeting on Saturday. This is a stair step card. I first saw this on Gretchen Barron's blog. You can find the directions here. We used Stampin' UP! "A Good Egg". The card stock we used: For the base was very vanilla, the back piece is certainly celery. The middle section is the SAB Delicate Dots DSP and the front piece is So Saffron. I used very vanilla cardstock for the eggs. Used all SU ink but the did use my Jelly glitter pens for some of the coloring. Bare with me the pictures aren't great but I am hopeful that I will get better. I have two front views and one side view of the card. For the sentiments I used the Word window punch and stamped again on very vanilla card stock. I adhered the eggs, chick, and sentiment with dimensionals.

First Upload ( I hope)
This is a project I created using the SAB set Botanical Blooms. I wasn't sure that I would like this set when I first got it but I love it now. I used Pacific Point and Baja Breeze for the flowers and Kiwi Kiss for the leaves. I stamped the saying on the SAB ribbon bundle Certainly celery (which is very hard to see, sorry) in Pacific Point (love this blue). I used the corner rounder punch I used the word window punch to create the the handle and I used Very Vanilla grograin ribbon to keep it closed. I glued a small cello bag inside. This would make a cute little treat bag for Valentines, Easter, May Day. The pattern came from the Stampin'UP! demo website. The dimensions are 10 5/16" long, 4" wide. Score at 4 5/16", 5 3/16" and 6". I know the score markings are crazy. You could probably adjust them to something a little easier.

Taking the plunge
I am diving into the cyber world of card making. I have finally created a blog. Now I have to figure out how this machine works. I am very much a figure it out as I do it kind of person. So I am hoping that it doesn't take me very long to noodle it through. So if you have accidentally stumbled upon my blog, book mark me and check back. Thanks.
